This particular photograph is of a late summer sunset in the Snowy Range Mountains, located West of Laramie and Centennial, Wyoming in the Medicine Bow National Forest in Albany County. There are six main peaks in the Snowy Range: Schoolhouse Rock, The Diamond, Old Main, Medicine Bow Peak, Sugarloaf Mountain, and Browns Peak. The highest point in the range is Medicine Bow Peak with an elevation of 12,013 feet. Both Mirror Lake and Bellamy Lake are visible in the photograph as well and both sit at about 10,600 ft elevation at the base of the range.
